Unfortunately, my old scribbling omitted the volume of water in part 1. I went online looking for a similar recipe as I wanted to make it for her, using her recipe and not an entirely different one. Lo and behold, your Chinese version is identical to her recipe, which was entirely in her head and probably passed on from her own mother. Thank you so much!!
